Admission and re-admission requirements
Qualification admission requirements
Your admission to Unisa is dependent on you meeting the specific admission requirements for your chosen qualification.
An appropriate Diploma in Accounting Sciences or its equivalent, with at least 2 modules on NQF level 6 in both Financial Accounting and Management Accounting and with at least one module on NQF level 6 in Taxation,
or
an appropriate Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Sciences or its equivalent, with at least 2 modules on NQF level 6 in both Financial Accounting and Management Accounting and with at least one module in Taxation on NQF level 6,
or
an appropriate Advanced Certificate in Accounting Sciences as well as any relevant Diploma on NQF level 6 or any Bachelor’s degree on NQF level 7.

Application fee
Pay the application fee once you’ve received your student number:
- R105 for online applications
- R160 for hard copy applications
Please note that this application fee is non-refundable even if you decide not to study through Unisa or do not qualify for admission to Unisa.

Additional support for this qualification via TVET colleges
Unisa has an agreement with various Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) colleges to offer classes in a selected number of qualifications. These classes have proved to generally improve the throughput rate of students who enrol for them.

- Apply for admission during Unisa’s application period via your TVET college or via Unisa.
