High Flyerz Academy offers a high level of training and also provides a 6 week training programme to aspiring flight attendants.
High Flyerz Academy Courses Details
The 6 week course comprises of the following training:
Aviation Legislation: The student is trained on the law governing the Aviation industry
Aviation Terminology: The student is trained on the terminology used in the industry
Theory of Flight: The basics of how an airplane flies, and what components an airplane is made up of
Safety procedures and standard operating procedures: The student will be trained on the standard operating procedures used in the Aviation Industry.
Emergency Equipment: The student will be trained on all emergency equipment carried onboard an aircraft
Emergency Procedures: The student will be trained on the emergency procedures used by the industry, so that cabin crew can adequately prepare passengers for an emergency situation.
Security Procedures: The student will be trained on all security procedures relevant to the industry
Dangerous Goods: An awareness course for cabin crew relating to dangerous goods, and what passengers are allowed to bring onboard an aircraft.
Ditching: Students will be required to jump into a swimming pool, and swim/assist someone in water
Fire Fighting: Live fire fighting training
Aircraft type training: Students will be trained on an aircraft type in order to qualify for a licence.
Slide Jump: Students will be required to slide down an aircraft slide to simulate an emergency scenario
Aviation medicine: This is a 5 day course which prepares the student to assist a passenger in a medical emergency
Service training: Students will be trained in customer service.
Grooming: Students will undergo grooming training.
Preparation of CV and interview skills: Preparation for entering the job market
High Flyerz Academy Course Fees
The full course fee is R14 500.00
- 50% of the course fee is payable prior to commencement of training
- remaining 50% is payable prior to final examination
High Flyerz Academy Entry Requirements
- You must be 18 years of age or older
- you must be able to read, speak and understand the English language
- you must be able to swim
- you must be medically fit
