Northwest University’s School of Nursing

The School of Nursing is truly one of a kind. Northwest University’s program is distinct, nationwide, in sending every Nursing major to another country for a month of experiential learning. Our nursing students are instructed on state-of-the-art technology with top-notch equipment in a robust network of local hospitals. Additionally, our nurses learn to integrate faith into their practice. With a cohort of 48 students and expert professors that are genuinely invested in your best interest, NU’s School of Nursing provides the highest quality education in the most supportive learning community.

Why Study Nursing at Northwest University?

Our nurses practice on the best equipment currently available. Our nursing skills lab, located in NU’s Health and Sciences Center, simulates real hospital experiences. Here, students learn nursing skills before treating actual patients. With equipment like our interactive mannequin—one that can bleed, cry, and respond—our nurses begin their clinical studies with confidence. Our professors have years of nursing experience, and many are still practicing nurses today.

As our students shadow real nurses in the field, many of them receive job offers at the hospitals where they are practicing.
Another real-world experience built into our program is a month-long study abroad experience practicing nursing in another country.
