During the past weeks, South Africa has seen student mobilisation and protests increase and intensify around issues access to free education in the form of #FeesMustFall campaign which has affected the whole nation. This campaign has highlighted the plight faced by many young people in this country when it comes to access to higher education. What these young people are saying is that more needs to be done in order to afford access to free education especially for those who cannot afford.
NYDA has partnered with NSFAS to drive recruitment of students and ensure that more young people access funding for the 2019 academic year. This partnership with NSFAS is in line with NYDA’s focus on education and skills development.
