Phumelela Bible College is a Christian institution founded by the Swedish Alliance Mission in conjunction with TACSA in 1961. We offer a One Year Certificate; Two Years Diploma; and Three Years Licentiate in Theology.
PBC was established in the year 1961 by the Swedish Alliance Mission following a decision made by the field comittee of the Swedish Alliance Mission in 1960. The first development took place in 1961 under the leadership of the missionaries Evert and Lisa Nilsson who continued developing the college until their retirement in 1990. The first student intake was twelve male students and the medium of instruction was Zulu. In 1965 a woman division was added to PBC with the first intake of 17 students.
