SMU Late Registration 2024

University Council met to finalize 2024 registration dates and confirmed the following:

  • The university will reopen on January 2024.
  • Registration for returning students will start on January 2024.
  • First year registration will start on January 2024.
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy first year students will be registering on January 2024.

2. ORIENTATION OF STUDENTS

All new students are expected to attend orientation programme which will take place on January 2024. During this time you will be informed about the University, it’s structures, important services available to you as a student and how to access those services.

3. PAYMENTS

The University does not accept cash payments on campus. Be safe, don’t travel with cash. Please pay online or at a bank. Ideally, this should be done at least three days before registration. Please note that it takes 2 to 3 days to clear EFT and payment made at another bank.

4. STUDENT CARDS

Access to campus is by student card. You must apply for your student card during registration at the Sports Complex.

IRST YEAR REGISTRATION

  • Every student who has been granted space or accepted to study at the University for the first time as a first year entering or a continuing student will be expected to pay registration fees of R4500
  • Students who have received bursaries as evidenced by confirmation letters from either NSFAS or Public Sector sponsors or listed verified sponsors are ordinarily not expected to pay registration fees, hence unblocked automatically;
  • Any other special case, as determined by officials should be directed/handled by the CFO or delegate.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

All international students must settle and pay their fees in full upon registration.
