Stellenbosch University Alumni, Graduating from university is a big step in your life’s journey. Once you have obtained your degree, you form part of the alumni community and Stellenbosch University remains your intellectual home. The Alumni Relations Office believes the success of a university depends greatly on the participation of its alumni, therefore we strive to keep you connected to your alma mater long after the euphoria of obtaining your qualification/s has died down.
Our student-led #Move4Food campaign aims to create food banks on the Stellenbosch and Tygerberg campuses, with an ambitious target of raising R10 million in 100 days in donations (cash and goods) to ensure that no student goes hungry.
We were delighted to welcome alumni from far and wide to our third annual Maties Homecoming and Family Weekend held against the backdrop of our special Centenary year.
What does being a Matie mean to you? Our Always a Matie/ Altyd ‘n Matie short film series specifically look at six areas, namely bursaries, disability, sport, innovation, student leadership, and the arts, and give alumni and current students the opportunity to share what impact the University has had on their lives.
