UKZN offers accommodation to students in university owned residences located on campus and off campus including in leased buildings to support living and learning environments. The residences are not only offering a basic bed and shelter for social and physical environments but play a pivotal role in supporting academic and residence life in a multicultural, diverse community.
Many students prefer to be allocated in the university residences on campus, but due to limited residence space in university managed accommodation alternative measures were considered for housing students in leased buildings off campus. The university has supplemented the provision of accommodation with leased buildings to maintain and match the high demand of student accommodation provision. We intend to provide you with a safe and pleasant living environment in all university-controlled residences.
