University Of Kwazulu Natal Radiology, UKZN department of radiology is committed to providing high quality academic radiology to the community and to students.
The Department consists of three main components: The highly technologically advanced Academic Program based at Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital (IALCH ) in Durban and Greys Hospital in Pitermaritzburg (PMB); The other component provides General Radiology services covering several hospitals including King Edward, Addington, R K Khan, Prince Mshiyeni, and Edendale . King Edward Hospital has been earmarked for the upcoming National Health Insurance (NHI).
There is close working relationships between academic and support staff. The majority of the consultant’s main focus is to provide clinical services to patients within the province. The rest cover a wide range of professional activities including research, teaching and training, and administrative roles.
