University Of Pretoria T-Shirts
University Of Pretoria T-Shirts, A function was held recently to thank several University of Pretoria (UP) staff members for their contribution to the opening of the UP Shop, which was relaunched on 21 June.
Staff from departments including Facilities, the Department of University Relations, Security Services and the HPC Commercial Department were treated to food provided by vida e caffè and had an opportunity to browse through the range of branded UP clothing.
The UP Shop is on the Hatfield Campus, in the Huis en Haard Building, next to the Graduate Centre and opposite the Sanlam Auditorium on Faculty Avenue. The old premises were renovated and the result is a spacious, airy shop.
Its core business is to sell an authentic UP-branded clothing range to students, academics, parents and visitors. Its range of items includes t-shirts, long-sleeve t-shirts, jackets, hoodies, sleeveless body warmers and caps. It will also stock UP-branded promotional items for faculties and individual orders.
Not only does the shop sell clothing, but it has also entered into a partnership with vida e caffè , which will be selling refreshments and light meals. This means that the shop strives to deliver the perfect Vida and clothing shopping experience to customers.
Toby Sutcliffe, Chief Executive Officer of the University’s high performance centre and Acting Director of TuksSport thanked colleagues who were involved in the shop’s opening and said that sales of items were high in the first week and he was hoping that this would continue. Mr Sutcliffe said: “I would like to thank all UP staff involved for their assistance in this venture and we are sure that, judging by the sales in the first week, the students and staff of the University are happy with the brand and the range of clothing that we are stocking. It is our intention to constantly refresh our offering and stay abreast of latest trends in the market.”
